Daily Dose of "Randomness"

Like that?  Randomness...the act of anything random with "ness" added on the end.  Just in case anyone was wondering about that:)  I have done a little make-up shopping the past few days at Ulta and thought I would share my goodies with you all.  

First of all, I have been on the hunt for a good drugstore foundation for some time now, without any luck.  I have used a lot of the high end stuff (i.e. Bare Escentuals, MUFE, Nars, etc.) and while I do like some of them (Nars Sheer Glow is amazing!) I would like to find something a little less pricey to wear for everyday use.  Now, my skin has changed a lot since having kids.  Especially since I have had my daughter.  I don't have a problem with my skin being to dry or to oily, but I do have a problem with some horrible dark circles, redness around my nose and larger pores around my nose as well.  

With that being said, I heard that Revlon released a new PhotoReady Airbrush foundation recently that is a mousse.  I have heard mixed reviews on this.  Some saying that it has to much sparkle and others saying it has a horrible smell.  I figured I would give it a try since Ulta has a great return policy if it doesn't work out.  I bought it in the shade Shell.  I also picked up a Revlon lip gloss in Pink Whisper, which is a soft baby pink.  

I also went ahead and picked up the Organix Brazilian Keratin shampoo and conditioner.  Michele1218 on Youtube had this in her 11 favorite products of 2011 so it must be something special:)  

I also got 2 new nail polishes.  One from the Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolor collection and another one from Revlon.  I picked up Kendall on the Katwalk and Starry Pink by Revlon.  Kendall on the Katwalk is a gorgeous blue glittery polish with tiny flecks of blue and purple in it.  Starry Pink is a milky pale pink with chunkier silver glitter in it.  I just painted Kendall on the Katwalk on my nails and love it!  Definitely outside the shades I normally wear.

Well that was embarrassing!!!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I have a tendency of being distracted easily.  And last Friday, was one of my most unflattering moments.  I was taking my kids to their music class and it is at a local elementary school.  I was walking with some new friends (the fact that they don't know me well enough to know I can be clumsy, made this even worse!) and had my daughter in my hands and my son was walking next to me.  I was trying to help my son unzip his jacket while still walking and holding K and W-H-A-M!!!!  I ran smack into a pole in a doorway at this school.  (Just call me classy, won't you?)  Most embarrassing moment of my week, however I have become very good at playing it off and changing subjects:) 

On another note, Starbucks has discontinued my lovely Tiramisu cake pop addiction (saddest event of last week).  My son and I have Cake pop dates to Starbucks probably once a week and now I have to find a different bite size snack to get there (thank you Starbucks!).

I am starting to plan my hubby and I's 6 yEAr anniversary:)  And our trip to Tennessee to visit my in-laws in the spring.  We haven't had an actual "vacation" in years!  And last year's anniversary wasn't so romantic because we had our 2 month old daughter with us.  This year will be different, I hope.  Now to figure our where to go on our anniversary!

High Five for Friday!!!

It's Friday, Yay!!!  Are you feeling my excitement yet, LOL.  Here are my 5 favorite things from this past week:)  Happy Friday!

1.) Tarte Amazonian Clay Concealer - Well hello dark circles ( 2 sick babies + a sick momma=the darkest of dark circles).  This stuff is amazing!  Has great coverage and lasts all day long!

2.) My car's heated seats (no joke).  It has been FA-REEZING here and I have to take my son to school 3 days of the week.  This baby keeps my tush all nice and warm:) 

3.) Girl Time...or should I say Momma Time.  I recently joined a Mom group in my local area (yay for adult social interaction!!!) and we met up Wednesday at Panera Bread for breakfast.  Panera's 4 cheese souffle is heaven:)

4.) TobyMac's Drummer Boy song.  Ok, so I know Christmas is over, but my son & I jam to this song on our way to school in the mornings.  And I love that time we share!  He loves to sing and loves to drum and this has quickly become our favorite song.  It will most likely still be playing in June, and that is completely ok with me:)

5.) My Maybelline Baby Lips in Peppermint.  This stuff is SO hydrating and smells great too!  Great for winter time and great for those people (like me) who gets chapped lips when the cold comes and sucks all the moisture out.

Today was a good day.

So today was a good day, much better than the past few I have had.  I have been sick along with my baby boy and baby girl.  It is a bad, bad thing when all 3 of us are sick at the same time.  With a husband that works 24 hour shifts every 2 days, that can make things a bit difficult for a sick momma with 2 sick babies.

So, thankfully, today was much better.  My hubby was off and I was able to "sleep in"  (an extra hour, woo hoo!).  We did absolutely nothing but relax and play all day.  It was wonderful!  Then this evening we decided to take a spur of the moment "adventure" as we called it down the road a bit to visit Checker's.  Their bacon cheddar cheeseburger and fried made being sick a tiny bit easier:)  And on the wy back we stopped to visit my parents.  I could definitely use more days like today.

December Favorites

Wow, where in the heck did 2011 go?!  It seems like just yesterday I was prego with my little doll about to pop:)  I had her in February 2011.

So I was thinking about starting to do "Favorites" on my lovely little blog at the beginning of each month for the previous month.  So, here goes my December 2011 Favorites!  Enjoy!

1.) Revlon lip butter in Berry Smoothie.  I got this at the beginning of December and fell in love!  These lip butters go on so smooth and have great pigmentation!  The Berry Smoothie is a perfect natural color and looks great on!  

2.) My snow leopard Toms.  I wore these babies a lot last month.  These are my first and, so far, my only pair of Toms.  But I assure you they will not be my last!  Toms are SO comfortable and they have a ton of cute designs as well as the basic colors (black, brown, red, etc.).  I am eyeing the red ones next:)

3.) My iPad:))) This was a Christmas present from my sweet hubby.  And I have been loving it!!!!  It is  perfect for doing my schoolwork, road trips, on the go shopping (who, me?) and just about anything else you can think of! 

4.) Teavana Tea.....I was introduced to the wonderful world of Teavana when I went shopping with a friend and she popped in to stock up on some of her favorites.  I was hooked when I was given a sample.  My husband and I are not tea drinkers.....hot tea anyway.  But we went Christmas shopping and decided to pick a few flavors up.  And so far we love it!  Healthy and delicious...can't beat that, right?

5.) Bath & Body Works Marshmallow Peppermint candle.  This candle is the most amazing candle I have ever had.  it burns great, lasts forever (assuming your not me and burn it all day) and has a strong, but not to strong, scent.  I get headaches very easily so I have to be careful what I burn.  And this one was perfect.  

So that is it for this month.  Hope everyone is having a good first week of 2012 so far:)  I'm sick, so me, not so much.  But, I know this year is going to be an amazing one!!!!

I've got Sperry fever!!!

So, I have recently been introduced to some GORGEOUS foot candy (you've heard of arm candy, well this is my version).......introducing Sperry's.  And yes, I am well aware I am behind the times on this fashion trend, but, hey give me a break....2 kids, remember;)  

A girl I work with had on an amazing pair of leopard Sperry's last week.  Anyone who knows me, knows I love leopard print!  So I was all over her shoes (drooling, wiping, then drooling again).  They look so comfortable!!! This will definitely be an upcoming purchase for me and my little monkey's.  These look perfect for a mom, always on the go. (Hello, my name is Natalie....full-time mommy, wife and student, lol).
